Institute of Computer Science and Mathematics

Two student teams: Vivid Dream and Stattist of the Institute of Computer Science and Mathematics of Jagiellonian University have qualified for the national finals of the Microsoft Imagine Cup competition. Only 15 teams from all over Poland will take part in the finals. The beginnings of the projects date back to 2013, when students started working on applications as part of the Team Project classes under the supervision of Michał Markiewicz, MSc, an employee of ICSM.

Stattist - a solution enabling the selection of publications and data analysis tailored to the recipient from among huge amounts of information on the Internet. This personalized newspaper and analytical tool in one can be used to test the popularity of a given brand or the success of a marketing campaign.

Vivid Dream - The project of this team is Dude Wars - an RTS game (Real Time Strategy) intended for many players fighting with each other on the Internet. It allows to struggle between mobile and desktop platforms, and thanks to the ranking system, it focuses on competition.
